Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG)
Paragon’s Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Program demonstrates
Paragon’s commitment to global responsibility.
Paragon demonstrates this commitment by:
- Valuing our employees, stakeholders, clients, vendors, and Indigenous partnerships, with a focus on supporting our local communities.
- Acting as a steward of social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
- Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Social Responsibility
Social responsibility is an integral part of Paragon’s business activities and culture. Paragon recognizes its place as a global participant and has a shared responsibility to promote healthy ecosystems, social equality, and good organizational governance.
Community Involvement and Investment
Paragon remains committed to being a good neighbour by building and maintaining positive, reciprocal relationships with the communities where we live and conduct work. Paragon is committed to continuing our support of a variety of Indigenous and non‐Indigenous local community programs that provide socioeconomic benefits and help develop and build lasting relationships based on mutual trust and respect. Paragon invests back into the community, through donations and volunteer activities supporting local charities, educational programs, and children’s sports groups and camps.Indigenous Relations
Paragon recognizes the history, diversity, and capabilities of local Indigenous peoples. Paragon operates within traditional Indigenous lands, and as such, recognizes its responsibility to foster and preserve relationships with local Indigenous communities. We understand that when Indigenous communities can benefit through employment, education, investment, and revenue sharing, all parties succeed. Paragon has partnered with several Indigenous communities and through employment and training opportunities, revenue sharing, and community donations, is empowering these communities.Truth and Reconciliation and UNDRIP
In the spirit of reconciliation, Paragon recognizes the principles of the United Nations Declaration of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and respects the rights of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Paragon engages with Indigenous communities in a courteous manner and supports ethical resource development practices in Indigenous Traditional Territories, and on Treaty Land.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is important to Paragon because we recognize that diverse teams are more innovative, perform better, and lead to higher employee engagement. Paragon applies fair provincial and federal labour practices and values the individual contributions that our employees offer. Paragon is committed to diversity within the workplace and our talent acquisition, promotion, and retention strategies are evidence of this.
Managing Our Environmental Impact
Paragon’s approach to managing our environmental impact is based on understanding and measuring our environmental footprint and doing our part in reducing it.
Our Waste Management Program defines actions that Paragon implement to reduce or eliminate adverse environmental impacts resulting from our activities.
Paragon is committed to carbon footprint reduction associated with our work activities.
